We will provide bottled water on the rides and light snacks like raisins & candy bars, items that can take the punishment of saddlebags. If you have specific needs, such as food allergies please let us know in advance. You can bring small personal items along with you (camera, binoculars, cell phone). If you have items you want to carry along, we will provide you with saddlebags or a cantle bag, depending on the space needed.
Because our rides are at least 2 hours long and some trails do get challenging, riders must be at least 12 years old and have some riding experience. We have an all-terrain horse drawn carriage that is fun and can be used for children and non-riders.
The riders must be dressed appropriate for riding, this includes:
Riding boots with a smooth sole are safest. Closed toe, smooth sole, lace up shoes are ok.
Tennis shoes with a tread are not desirable.
Long pants.
Long sleeve shirts are recommended, for protection from the elements and brush.
If not wearing a helmet then a hat or cap should be worn for sun protection.
Riders under 16 years of age must wear a helmet.
Riders must be able to mount and dismount their own horse with little or no help.
For the safety of all, the guide(s) instructions will be followed. |
